Version 8.6 upgrades the software from Java 8 to Java 17, offering: 

  • Improved memory management and garbage collection, leading to better user interface performance and more efficient data processing, especially when working with large models for modelling and simulation. 
  • Numerous bug fixes related to the JVM contribute to greater software stability. 

Details of Updates and Improvements

  • Java upgraded to version 17, improving memory management, garbage collection, and overall performance, especially for large modelling and simulation tasks. 
  • Updated: Graph view in exported excel file. The graph exported to Excel is properly scaled. 
  • Updated: Nuclides filtering and sorting by atomic number
  • Added: Tags managing. Tags can now be modified or deleted as needed. 
  • Fixed: Player unit editing issue. Cells designated for Units values are configured as read-only, which serves as the default setting for the Player. 
  • Fixed: Tooltips for buttons. Tooltips now display with improved resolution and contrast.
  • Fixed: Updated the third-party logging library to resolve log4j vulnerability warnings
  • Fixed: Nuclide value editor. Nuclide editor adjusted for stable decay pair ratios.
  • Fixed: Issues in Sensitivity Analysis UI. The Sensitivity Analysis user interface functions effectively when handling large datasets.
